Creepy Halloween Worm-Burger
On the dark night of Halloween, when ghosts rise from their graves and witches fly through the air, little worms crawl out of the ground to make an appearance at our feast. These Worm-Burgers are the perfect addition to any Halloween bash and guarantee shivers for both adults and kids.
Ingredients for 6 servings
- 6 hamburger buns
- A jar with 6-8 frankfurters or hot dogs
- 3 tsp barbecue sauce
- 3 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Oil for frying
- Fresh lettuce leaves and tomato slices (optional)
Slice the frankfurters or hot dogs lengthwise into 6 strips, making them resemble worms.
Heat a pan with oil and sear the “worms” until they're crispy.
Add barbecue sauce and Worcestershire sauce, continuing to fry until the hot dog strips are nicely crisp and curl up. Adjust the frying time based on your preference—the longer they fry, the crispier they get.
While the worms are frying, you can toast the hamburger buns or leave them untoasted if preferred. Optionally, you can also add fresh lettuce leaves and tomato slices.
Place the crispy worms on the buns, serve with additional sauce if desired.
Arrange the Worm-Burgers on a platter and decorate with some plastic spiders and cobwebs to enhance the spooky vibe. Pair them with a dark red "blood" juice or a green "witches" punch. A spine-chilling treat for all Halloween enthusiasts!
